Driving growth – the next generation of PCB manufacturing
Two PCB manufacturers from South East England headed up by father and daughter duo; Steve and Stacey Driver go from strength to strength with the help of The Manufacturing Advisory Service.
Spirit Circuits Ltd, based in Waterlooville, Hampshire led by its charismatic MD Steve Driver are recognised in the industry as one of the UK’s leading Printed Circuit Board manufactures.
Stickleback Ltd, with Stacey at the helm moved to Kent earlier this year and now provides both PCB’s and a wide range of engraving services from their new factory in St Marys Hoo.
Steve explained “Our forward looking business approach has seen us achieve month on month growth, which in this uneasy economic climate, has been a real challenge. We owe our business growth to strategic planning and always advocate a focused and targeted approach to business”
Mark Knowlton who has been supporting both companies explained how MAS were involved; “The initial business diagnostic carried out separately at each company highlighted very different opportunities. The funding and specialist support from MAS has enabled Spirit to make further improvements to their environmental and waste management systems in order to achieve ISO.14001 compliance” …Mark went on to say “Stacey and the Stickleback team carried out a structured strategic review using a very interactive mapping technique where they established short, medium and long term objective’s. They then developed a clear implementation plan with KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) in order to deliver their agreed strategic plan.”
Mark went on to say “Everyone in the PCB industry knows Steve is a fantastic ambassador for UK Manufacturing, it’s great to see the next generation of Manufacturing leaders are emerging with Stacey at the helm and driving the business forward.
